This is an English translation of our terms in Hebrew. If the two versions differ, the Hebrew version governs.

Welcome to the website of Chef Israel Dudek (the "Website"). The terms below apply to any use of the Website and to any purchase made through it. Using the Website and making a purchase on it means you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

The Website is operated by Chef Israel Dudek, licensed business (osek murshe) no. 300942158.
Address: 48 Menachem Begin St., Petah Tikva, Israel
Email: i@chef-israel.co.il
Phone: 050-2399674

For any question, problem or request about an order, you can reach us in any of these ways, and we will get back to you.

2. What is sold on the Website

Three types of products are sold on the Website, and each has slightly different rules:

  • Downloadable digital products: recipe packs, guides and other files delivered as a download.
  • Digital content for viewing: filmed workshops and video episodes.
  • Physical products: books and products sent by post or courier.

The Website also offers services such as workshops, lectures and events, which are arranged directly with us.

3. Orders and payment

All prices on the Website are in new Israeli shekels (NIS) and include VAT as required by law. Payment is made by credit card through the Invoice4U and CardCom clearing system. Your card details go directly to the clearing company and are not stored by us.

A tax invoice/receipt is sent to you by email once payment is complete. An order is confirmed only when the credit card company approves the transaction. If the transaction is not approved, the order is not completed.

We do our best to make sure the prices and details on the Website are accurate. If a price is wrong because of a clerical error or a technical fault, we may cancel the order and refund the full amount, and we will let you know.

4. Delivery

Digital products. As soon as payment is complete, we send you an email with a personal link to download the file, and the link also appears on the page shown at the end of your purchase. The link has no download limit and does not expire. If the email has not arrived within a reasonable time, check your spam folder. In any case, you can contact us and we will send it again.

Physical products. Delivery and shipping times are listed on the product page. We are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping company or by force majeure, but we will help in any way we can.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellations are handled under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, and the regulations made under it. A cancellation notice should be sent to us by email or by phone, and should include the buyer's name and the order number.

Downloadable digital product

You may cancel the transaction and receive a full refund as long as the file has not been downloaded. Once the file has been downloaded, the transaction cannot be cancelled, because it is information that can be copied and duplicated, in accordance with section 14C(d) of the Consumer Protection Law. This is the standard rule in any store that sells digital files, and it is what allows us to sell at this price.

That said, if the file does not open for you, is damaged, or you received something other than what was promised, contact us. We will fix it or send it again, and if we cannot, we will refund your money.

Digital content for viewing

You may cancel within 14 days of the transaction, as long as the content has not been viewed.

Physical product

You may cancel within 14 days of receiving the product, provided it has not been damaged or used. The return is at the buyer's responsibility and expense, and we may charge a cancellation fee of up to 5% of the product price or 100 NIS, whichever is lower.

Workshops, lectures and events

You may cancel within 14 days of the transaction, provided the cancellation is made at least two business days before the service takes place. For events and special orders, the terms agreed in writing with the customer apply.

6. Copyright and license of use

All content on the Website and in the products sold on it, including recipes, texts, photographs, videos, design and structure, is the intellectual property of Chef Israel Dudek and is protected by copyright.

When you buy a digital product, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-commercial license for your private use and the use of your household. The license does not include, and does not permit:

  • transferring, sharing, distributing or selling the file, or the link to it, to a third party;
  • uploading the file or parts of it to the internet, to a group, to a shared cloud or to any repository accessible to others;
  • commercial use of the content, including in a restaurant, a business, a workshop or advertising, without prior written approval.

The download link is personal. Sharing it is the same as passing on the product itself.

If you would like to use our content for a commercial or educational purpose, just contact us. We are usually glad to help.

7. Privacy and mailing list

The full details are in our privacy policy (in Hebrew). Here are the main points.

When you make a purchase, we collect the details needed to complete it: name, email address, phone number, and for a physical product also a shipping address. These details are used to process the order, issue the invoice, and provide service and support.

We do not sell your details or pass them on to third parties, except for the service providers needed to complete the transaction: the clearing company, the email provider and the shipping company.

If you chose to join the mailing list, we may send you recipes, updates and offers. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also simply reply "remove" and we will take you off the list.

The Website uses cookies for its proper operation, to keep your shopping cart, and to measure usage.

8. Liability and its limits

The recipes and content on the Website are intended for home cooking and enjoyment, and are provided as they are. Preparing food involves judgment: responsibility for preparing the dish, choosing the ingredients, their freshness, their storage and cooking safety lies with the cook.

Allergens. Recipes may contain, or be exposed to, common allergens. It is your responsibility to check the ingredients of a recipe and adapt it to your own sensitivities and dietary restrictions, and to those of the people you are feeding.

Kashrut. If kashrut matters to you, you need to check the kashrut of the ingredients and the equipment yourself.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damage caused by use of the content. In any case, our total liability will not exceed the amount actually paid for the product.

We aim for the Website to operate without interruption, but we do not guarantee full availability or that no faults will occur, and we are not liable for damage caused by a temporary interruption of service.

9. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The binding version is the one that appears on this page at the time of purchase, and the date of the last update appears at the top.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any use of the Website are governed solely by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts in Israel have exclusive jurisdiction over any matter relating to them.

And beyond everything written here: if something did not work, did not arrive, or was not what you expected, write to us. We are a small, human business, and most things are solved with one email.
